MOSCOW, Mar 24 (PRIME) -- Norilsk Nickel and RUSAL have frozen the nickel and aluminum prices, RBC reported on Thursday citing a Norilsk Nickel official and a RUSAL statement.
On Tuesday, Industry and Trade Minister Denis Manturov said that he had agreed with the local producers to untie the prices from the London Metal Exchange (LME) and start calculating them in rubles.
Norilsk Nickel, that earlier tied its prices to the LME has set a fixed price from March through May, RBC reported. RUSAL will sell the metal at February's prices on the local market.
